Around Zugspitze

This individual hiking tour takes you through the beautiful Zugspitze region in seven days — a true paradise for active vacationers. The start and end point is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and in between, you’ll encounter plenty of highlights: the wild Partnach Gorge, the Leutasch Valley, and the Gaistal with its lush green alpine meadows. You’ll discover charming places like Mittenwald, Leutasch, and Ehrwald, hike across blooming meadows, enjoy expansive panoramic views of around 400 peaks, and unwind by the clear waters of Lake Eibsee. And the best part: thanks to our luggage transfer, you only hike with a light daypack — and the cable car or Zugspitze railway conveniently take you back down to the valley. This way, there’s more time to marvel, savor, and breathe deeply.

You’ll spend some nights in cozy huts, experience sunrises in the crisp mountain air, and discover the source of the Isar River. Challenging climbs alternate with relaxed stages — and if you need a break, there are often options to take shortcuts. At the end, a cable car from the Nordkette conveniently brings you to Innsbruck, where your journey concludes in style.
