If you’d like to discover the Allgäu region, you’re sure to find a hiking tour that suits you. E5: Oberstdorf - Merano

A scenic transfer brings you to Reschen, where a cable car whisks you up to the Dreiländerstein, the meeting point of Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. Allgäuer und Lechtaler Alpen

For those seeking a bit more adventure, this trekking tour is truly a dream come true. Your journey begins in the border town of Oberstdorf, where you’ll tackle a challenging yet rewarding trail up to the Kemptner Hut. At the Mädelejoch mountain pass, you’ll cross the border on foot into Austria. Continuing along sections of the Pilgrimage Trail (Jakobsweg), you’ll make your way to St. Anton, a renowned winter sports resort. From there, a cable car will lift you to heights above 2,800 meters.

The subsequent ascent to the Stuttgarter Hut rewards you with a stunning high-altitude path, unveiling breathtaking panoramic views over the plateau. After this ridge hike, a gondola ride will carry you back down to the valley. As your journey draws to a close, the trail leads you through the border region back into Bavaria—and finally returns you to Oberstdorf. Starting from Munich, you follow the course of the Isar River to Lake Ammersee—complete with picturesque waterside views.
