2020 hiking blogger travel reports

Our tours put to the test

Even if the past year was associated with some challenges, we look back on numerous wonderful hiking trips and were also able to welcome one or two hiking bloggers on our tours. From white and blue Bavaria to the picturesque Salzkammergut to beautiful South Tyrol. In 2020, hiking boots were laced-up and cameras packed to take a close look at the most beautiful regions in Europe.

This resulted in great reports with wonderful pictures, which we would like to show you again at the end of the year. Now read the summary of all blogger trips during the 2020 hiking season.

A variety of landscapes on alpine paths: the trekking tour on the Tirolerweg

Hardly any other long-distance hiking trail combines so many different landscapes in such a short time and over a relatively short distance. Björn Ahrndt from the travel blog Bergparadiese also wanted to see this for himself. And one thing in advance: the trekking tour between Garmisch and Innsbruck is guaranteed to leave nothing to be desired. Spectacular high-altitude trails, gentle alpine meadows and cosy hut life: a true paradise for all mountain lovers.

Apple trees, alpine flair and Aperol Spritz: Sabrina hikes from Merano to Lake Garda

True to the motto ‘get off the sofa and get out in nature’, Sabrina wants to motivate the readers of her travel blog ‘Couchflucht’ to leave the comfy couch at home and explore the world. She tells authentic hiking stories and reports on her small (and large) adventures in nature. Her conclusion of the Garmisch-Meran hiking tour: a tour straight from a picture book. Lovely Waalwege, rugged rock peaks of the Brenta Dolomites to cypress trees on the last metres to the magical Lago di Garda.

Cow bells and delicious alpine snacks: Doris explores the beautiful Salzkammergut

This year’s hiking trip took Doris to the border of her home in Upper Austria, more precisely to the picturesque Salzkammergut.

For panorama fans, the alpine hike is a real paradise, because the tour has numerous highlights in store: breathtaking views of the Wolfgangsee, the Totes Gebirge and the Dachstein Glacier – plus the typical alpine flair of the many huts.

You can read Doris’ experiences of the hiking tour in her report.
