As the morning sun fills the day with life, you open your window to a postcard-perfect Alpine panorama. What feels like a dream becomes reality on the hut-to-hut tour through Hohe Tauern National Park. Each stage leads you through the largest national park in the Alps, from the famous Krimml Waterfalls to the Krimml Tauernhaus, lovingly run by the Geiger family for over 120 years and your cozy home for the next two nights. From here, you venture deep into the heart of the park. At the Warnsdorfer Hut, you’ll be treated to authentic Pinzgau specialties. Soon, you’ll discover the picturesque Sulzbach valleys and hike up to the glacier lake. In the evening, the hosts at Berndlalm welcome you to your overnight stay with views of the mighty Geiger. Alpe-Adria-Trail: Großglockner – Kranjska Gora

The first section of the Alpe-Adria-Trail completes the Eurohike route along the Alpe-Adria-Trail, making it possible for the very first time to experience the entire long-distance hiking path in a fully organized format, including luggage transfer. Your journey begins at the Kaiser-Franz-Joseph-Height on the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. Glacier views, turquoise lakes, the Hohe Tauern, and the Nockberge mountains create a hiking experience that’s as varied as it is breathtaking. Our experts have handpicked the crème de la crème sections of the trail from Heiligenblut to Kranjska Gora and combined them into one unique tour. From the National Park Center at the Großglockner, you hike into the Möll Valley and through the Nockberge Biosphere Park, before diving into the refreshing waters of Lake Millstatt and Lake Wörth. The royal stage awaits as you cross the Karawanks, leading you to Kranjska Gora.

Portuguese Camino de Santiago

There’s a truly special reason to walk the Camino de Santiago in 2027. Santiago de Compostela will host a rare event: the Holy Year (Año Santo Jacobeo), which only takes place when St. James’ Day, July 25, falls on a Sunday. Throughout the year, Santiago comes alive with religious ceremonies, cultural events, and celebrations, creating an atmosphere unlike any other for pilgrims from around the world.

The 15-day route begins in Porto, guiding hikers through the most beautiful landscapes of northern Portugal and Galicia, as well as countless historic sites and pilgrim stations. If you have less time, you can opt for the shorter version starting in Baiona. The best part: every hiker shares the same goal, the magnificent cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. There’s something truly magical about sharing the spirit of pilgrimage with so many fellow travelers and celebrating your arrival together.

Cinque Terre and the Ligurian Coast

The colorful houses of the five villages in the Cinque Terre are world-famous, but many overlook the hidden trails along the Ligurian coast and in the untouched hinterland, just a stone’s throw from these iconic villages. Product manager Reimar set out to explore and crafted a tour that blends the best of both worlds: little-traveled paths along the Ligurian Riviera, charming inland villages, and the unmistakable beauty of the Cinque Terre.

Your journey begins in Santa Margherita Ligure. From here, you first explore the Portofino peninsula and hike to a true highlight, the secluded bay of San Fruttuoso. Soon, the famous coastal towns of the Cinque Terre come into view, their vibrant houses rising from the cliffs, sometimes glimpsed from afar along the hiking trails, sometimes right before your eyes.
