At the end of October, it was that time again: our annual company outing! This year, we headed to the beautiful blue Danube to enjoy the “Bike & Boat” experience. Even though the weather forecast wasn’t ideal, it didn’t dampen our spirits—after all, as the saying goes, there’s no bad weather, only the wrong clothing!
The weekend quickly turned into an unforgettable experience. When the rain arrived, an alternative program was organized. Those who wished could cycle along the Danube as planned or join a hiking group that climbed to the viewpoint overlooking the famous Donauschlinge. There was something for everyone—exercise, fresh air, and plenty of fun!
Our summer party is much more than a relaxed afternoon with colleagues—it’s a fixed date that many of us look forward to all year. Blessed with beautiful weather, we celebrated together on our company grounds in Obertrum. As in previous years, all employees were actively involved in planning and organizing the event. This year, however, there was a special addition: a sustainability theme that ran throughout the entire event. Our celebration highlighted our Travelife certification, and we were able to offer a series of sustainability-themed stations for everyone to explore.
As a nature-focused tour operator, sustainability and environmental awareness are not just important to us—they are close to our hearts. Our completed certification was the perfect reason to host an afternoon and summer party centered entirely around sustainability. At various stations, we aimed to share knowledge about sustainability with our team in a fun and interactive way.
This year, our beloved annual Eurofun Winter Sports Day was back! In the morning, we set off from Obertrum to snowy Obertauern, where we faced the delightful dilemma of choosing from a wide range of winter activities. Alongside classic skiing, participants could enjoy winter hiking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing—ensuring everyone found their perfect way to spend the day. At the mountain hut, we capped it off with a well-deserved lunch!
For the 50th anniversary of USV Schleedorf, our colleagues had the chance to show off their skills on the soccer field. The team name wasn’t just a nod to our company, Eurofun—it also symbolized our team’s dedication, enthusiasm, and spirit, with plenty of teamwork and motivation on display.
On April 16, everyone interested had the chance to experience a very special evening: our yogic cooking class with Petra. She is a passionate yogini and has been teaching yoga in her own studio for seven years-alongside her work in our finance department. Her goal is to inspire people to live a healthy lifestyle.
The evening began with an introduction to the basics of yogic nutrition and a short morning routine. We talked about how different foods affect our bodies and the roles that spices, vegetables, and fruits play. After that, we moved on to the hands-on cooking portion:
To round things off, everyone received recipes and tips to take home so they could put what they learned into practice right away. It was an evening full of flavor, knowledge, and inspiration—for a life in balance.
On September 4, we went together to the Poschnhütte on the Genneralm. The hut is one of our partner accommodations for alpine hiking in the Salzkammergut, where we regularly book many guests—making it was the perfect choice for our outing. Once at the top, we enjoyed a hearty traditional Jausenplatte followed by Kaiserschmarrn. A cozy, fun evening and one of the last warm summer nights on the alpine pasture!
On August 27, our department enjoyed a fantastic afternoon playing mini-golf at Mattseer Weyerbucht. Divided into four teams, fun and team spirit were guaranteed under the bright sunshine. Afterwards, we wrapped up the day leisurely at Malego by the lake — enjoying good food, cool drinks, and stunning views of Lake Obertrum (Obertrumer See). A perfect ending to a wonderful afternoon together!
On September 19, we enjoyed a leisurely alpaca walk at Kittlgut in Seekirchen under glorious late-summer skies. With five alpacas in tow, we strolled through the surroundings—each of us leading one, from the oldest at the front to the youngest at the back, keeping a close eye to make sure everyone stayed on the path. After our walk, we had the chance to feed and pet the alpacas in their enclosure. The enchanting afternoon ended with a cozy dinner at Fischtagginger Wirt.
On June 30, we enjoyed a wonderful bike tour from Obertrum through the picturesque Flachgau hills to the city of Salzburg. Under bright summer skies, we savored the varied route, with its stunning views and invigorating climbs. Our destination was the famous Salzburg brewery Müllner Bräu, founded in 1621, where we wrapped up the day relaxing in the shaded beer garden — a perfect summer evening spent together in great company.
On June 18, our department embarked on a digital scavenger hunt through Salzburg under the theme “In the Footsteps of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.” Using an app, we solved puzzles at the city’s famous landmarks, uncovering stories about Mozart’s life and work along the way. The hunt transported us back to 1756–1791, immersing us in 18th-century Salzburg. Together, we tackled creative challenges, discovered the city from a fresh perspective, and had a lot of fun on this musical adventure celebrating the legendary composer. We wrapped up the evening enjoying a delicious meal at the Middle Eastern restaurant YAZZOON.
On July 2, we took part in the Bavarian Olympics in Schneizlreuth, Germany. In events like archery, axe throwing, laser biathlon, the nail-hammering game Stump, stein holding, milking, and tin can throwing, we put our skills—and plenty of team spirit—on display. Fun was definitely the top priority! To round off the day, we headed to the Stieglkeller in Salzburg, where we toasted to a great day while enjoying a beautiful sunset and views over the historic Old Town.
