Summer party with a focus on sustainability

A sporting highlight in the Eurohike calendar: the Grabenseelauf 2025. Once again this year, ambitious Eurohike employees took part in the Grabenseelauf with a lot of enthusiasm for running and a great deal of team spirit. Numerous colleagues were involved in the organisation of the event. With a heart for the region, it was a matter of course for us to once again be represented as a sponsor. Among the numerous onlookers, there were also enthusiastic spectators from our own ranks on site to cheer on our teams.

Who would have imagined? This year, our hiking travel brand Eurohike is celebrating its 20th anniversary! For two decades, we’ve been curating unforgettable hiking tours all across Europe. What started in 2004 as a catalog brimming with adventures has blossomed into a remarkable success story. Today, we not only look back on incredible experiences but also unveil the outcome of a special initiative: our fundraising campaign for the organization "Children have a future" Discover how thousands of hiking kilometers transformed into an impressive € 8,000 for this worthy cause in this blog post. 

Experiencing comfort in the workplace, feeling a strong sense of unity, and supporting each other, particularly during more challenging times, are the foundational elements of what we define as a truly successful work environment. These principles are put into practice every day within our Eurohike team, thanks to the supportive framework established and demonstrated by our management. There are plenty of opportunities to network, exchange ideas in a laid-back relaxed atmosphere and ensure balance in our everyday work routine. Two buses, 89 enthusiastic team members, and a great deal of enjoyment as we embarked on a journey toward the German border and well into the north. To be more precise, our destination was the charming wine region of the Palatinate. We made the most of the long bus ride with high spirits and great anticipation. Upon reaching Kallstadt, which was 520 kilometers away from our starting point, we eagerly anticipated a comforting bowl of potato soup and our initial taste of the sweet Pfälzer wine at Weinhaus Henninger.

Our popular annual Eurofun winter sports day took place again this year in February. In the morning, we set off from Obertrum to snowy Obertauern, where we are spoilt for choice between a wide range of winter activities. Besides the classic skiing, we also have the option of winter hiking, cross-country skiing or even snowshoeing. So everyone can choose their individual favourite and get their money's worth. We look forward to an eventful day in the snow!

At the beginning of March it was time again and our annual Eurofun winter sports day was just around the corner. Now that we had to do without our trip for two years due to Corona, the anticipation was already very high. Since it needed to be a ‚winter sports day‘ and not just a day of skiing, we took off in two fully occupied buses to Strobl, destination „Postalm“, situated in the beautiful Salzkammergut region, where a wide variety of winter sport activities are on offer. Whether it is skiing, hiking, tobogganing or embarking on a ski tour, all of our sporty employees really get their money’s worth and can choose according to their taste. We also wanted to take the opportunity to visit the Postalm-alp in winter. In summer, it is well known to us and our guests as a cozy place to stay overnight in a hut during our alpine hiking tour in the Salzkammergut region.
