The initial stages towards Vila do Conde and Esposende are lined with beautiful beaches and charming fishing villages. In the following days, you'll explore the inland areas, such as marching across the Eiffel Bridge towards Viana do Castelo or taking in the view of the Lima Valley. Returning to the coast on day 6, your destination is the Spanish town of A Guarda, where various seafood restaurants in the center welcome you to stop for a bite to eat.

The following days are slightly more challenging, especially when you ascend the mountains on the way to Baiona and traverse fragrant forests along the Camino. In Arcade, indulge in fresh oysters, and in Pontevedra, savor traditional tapas. Passing through Caldas de Reis and Padrón, you eventually reach Santiago de Compostela, where the special atmosphere captivates you..

  • Delicious cuisine in the picturesque fishing villages: After all the activity, be sure not to miss out on the fine cuisine of Portugal and Spain. Whether it's Port wine, tapas, or fresh fish with a view of the sea, relaxation on this journey also comes through the palate.
  • Recharge your energy along the Way of St. James: The burial site of Saint James, the patron saint of pilgrims, has transformed into a central destination along Christian pilgrimage routes. Each year, thousands embark on journeys toward Santiago de Compostela, traversing a network of trails that spans across all of Europe. • The medieval center of Santiago de Compostela: The historic center of your destination is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting at Plaza del Obradoiro, where the Cathedral and the Raxoi Palace are located, is highly recommended. From here, you can explore a multitude of attractions in the vicinity, including contemporary art and Galician architecture.

The route along the Way of St. James is predominantly flat, slightly hilly at best. You'll typically cover between 13 and 25 kilometers per day, totaling around 260 kilometers by the end of your journey.
