With this tour, Eurohike is dedicating itself to a very special region of Austria, the beauty of which already fascinated Empress Sissi: the Salzkammergut. Imposing mountains, glittering lakes and charming towns await you here over five days. In addition, the excellent Austrian cuisine - from schnitzel to pastries - and the special hospitality. You will come home with fully charged batteries and enjoy the grandiose impressions for a long time to come.
Details about the Ten Lakes Trekking tour
The starting point of the trip is the village of Fuschl am See. On the very first day, the stage leads to the Wartenfels ruins and, if desired, to the Schober. The ascent is short and demanding, but the view from the summit will instantly make you forget any effort. Promised!
Don't miss the chance to hop into one (or more) of the crystal-clear lakes of the Salzkammergut. Attersee, Schwarzensee and finally to Wolfgangsee - stage 3 leads from lake to lake and offers lush meadows and peaceful alpine pastures in between. Finally, the imperial city of Bad Ischl is waiting for you, the highlights here include the Imperial Villa, the Katrin cable car and the spa gardens. Enjoy the imperial flair with a longer and a piece of cake (here you can still find a traditional “k.u.k. Hofzuckerbäckerei”) before heading back to Fuschl.
The highlights of the Ten Lakes Trekking tour
Hiking as in a picture book: In terms of landscape, the Salzkammergut simply has it all! The characteristic mountains that offer great (but not too difficult) tours. In between, crystal clear lakes as far as the eye can see and green alpine pastures, where huts invite you to take a break.

Blue glittering lakes in abundance: Mondsee, Attersee, Irrsee, Wolfgangsee - you are spoiled for choice. In addition to swimming and bathing, water sports can also be tried. Diving, water skiing and stand-up paddling, the Attersee is known as the Caribbean of the Salzkammergut!

On this tour you will find deceleration, but with the many attractions you are guaranteed not to be bored.

Dreamy summer hikes in the Salzkammergut
A delightful holiday. Routes were varied with some challenging uphill hikes but also plenty along the flat. The lakes were wonderful to swim in and most of the accommodation was good. We recommend upgrading to the White Horse hotel in St Wolfgang - the best hotel we've ever stayed at. The final day's walk, along the Salzweg, was a bit of an anticlimax, but arriving back in Fuschl was wonderful. Note that the bus from Bad Ischl goes from the train station, not the old wooden bus station in the middle of town!! Would recommend calling restaurants 2-3 days ahead in peak season, as some of our first choices were fully booked. But overall, a simply magical trip.

Great!
The tour was very well organised. All descriptions were very precise. The information contained short cut suggestions, rainy day options, lunch places. We found it very useful. Besides the 10 Lake route is absolutely beautiful, scenic and picteresque.

Alles bestens!

Zehn-Seen Trekking 25. Juli bis 03. August 2020
