Dolomite Alps - Nature park walking tour

Walking in the UNESCO world heritage.

Idyllic mountain lakes, great Alps, green forests and the legendary Dolomites are accompanying you during your walking week through three nature parks. You discover Sexten, the valley of mountain climbers and mountain guides and of course you have to do a detour to the “Drei Zinnen”. At the beginning Lake Pragser Wildsee welcomes you, in its crystal-clear water the face of mountain Seekofel is reflected. The loop tour around those well-known mountains offers a fascinating view onto the Sextner mountain range. Highlight is the view from Cortina, the pearl of the Dolomites, over some imposing peaks as the Cristallo group, the Tofane and the Fanes group.

Beeindruckendes Bergerlebnis

Excellent trekking experience in the Dolomites.
Even though this was not the high route - you do get to a number of peaks where you may see snow - we did. The hotel Hohe Gaisl was excellent - the food here was second to none. However Hotel Tschurtschentahler was second to none on customer service. Luggage transportation worked seamlessly. Very good maps - we only got lost once in the walk from Cortina - this route could have been marked better.

Sehr gerne bald wieder!!

Stunning scenery
Overall a good selection of routes with possible alternatives given. We walked in a variety of landscapes from ridges to a gorge, meadows to mountainsides. There was a good public transport network that we were able to use to tailor our walks according to our preferences and the weather. The hotels were comfortable and welcoming.
