Sustainability Report 3 | 2026

Our Update from October 2026

Anyone who dedicates themselves to a good cause, supports a social mission, or steps in where help is urgently needed has truly put their time to good use. With this thought in mind, we launched the Eurofun Time with Purpose initiative. Seven dedicated colleagues share stories about projects and services that are especially close to their hearts. Through their efforts, they have brought joy to others and gained enriching experiences for themselves as well.

We’d like to share a second piece of news with you in this sustainability update: Our Mindful Travel product line continues to grow. We’ll reveal which trips score especially high for sustainable travel.

Time with Purpose

Through the Eurofun “Time with purpose” initiative, we have the opportunity to get involved in social causes and make a difference exactly where help is needed most. Eurofun supports this noble cause by giving each team member half a day off work. The best part is that everyone can contribute to a personal project close to their heart. Whether it’s a social service organization, a nonprofit, or a local project—support goes where you’re eager to help. This commitment not only brings a smile to others’ faces but also fills the helpers themselves with joy.

Anja and Elisabeth Visit the Senior Day Center

We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful social afternoon at the senior day center in Obertrum am See. The facility enables older adults who need care to enjoy a structured day in a community setting with professional care. This supports the seniors’ independence while also providing relief to family caregivers.

Our visit began with a cozy cup of coffee and cake. The ice was broken immediately, as the seniors were curious about who we were and where we came from. It quickly became clear that we all live quite close to one another. These shared regional ties made all barriers disappear in an instant.

After some warm small talk, things took a playful turn: During an Austria quiz, the seniors demonstrated their impressive general knowledge. They were so quick on their feet that we were left in the dust on more than one question. They answered exciting quiz questions on topics such as history, nature, geography, and famous figures in Austria. The afternoon flew by. On the way home, we were filled with the wonderful feeling of having done something good and brought joy—and we did it with the simplest thing that has become so rare these days: spending time together.

Julia, Christina & Petra: Hiking Day with the Hannes Schmidt School in Köstendorf

In early July, we had the pleasure of enjoying a special hiking day together with the Hannes Schmidt School in Köstendorf. The school does valuable work for children with special needs and provides them with many important experiences as part of their daily school life.

Together with 12 children, 8 teachers and chaperones, and 3 Eurofun employees—Petra, Christina, and Julia—we spent a varied morning outdoors in the Teufelsgraben in Seeham. During a leisurely hike to the waterfall, the focus was on shared experiences, entertaining activity stations, and the joy of being active in nature.

We are particularly pleased that this was already the second time we’ve had the opportunity to spend a hiking day together with the Hannes Schmidt School. The hike with the school was a truly wonderful experience. All the children were very friendly and welcomed us warmly from the very beginning. The many beaming faces and the positive atmosphere demonstrated once again just how enriching encounters of this kind can be for everyone involved. In keeping with our “Zeit mit Sinn” initiative, we were able to make a small contribution while also taking home many valuable experiences of our own.

Jakob supports Sonneninsel Seekirchen

Exchanging work hours for service to the community—that’s one way to describe the meaningful work at Eurofun. Sonneninsel Seekirchen offers children with cancer and their families a place to recharge and continue their journey together with renewed strength. Maintaining and lovingly caring for a place like this takes a lot of work. When the Sonneninsel team reaches its limits, support is especially valuable. That’s why I was happy to step in and lend a hand. There was plenty to do in the sprawling garden. So I slipped on my work pants, put on my gloves, and grabbed some gardening tools. The task was simple but sweaty work. A gravel path needed to be cleared of weeds so that children in wheelchairs could use it again. Four hours and what felt like ten buckets of weeds later, most of the path was passable again. There are many ways to do good. One of the most rewarding is certainly helping to ensure that children with cancer can spend carefree time together with their families. That’s exactly what the Sonneninsel concept is all about. Seeing the children play with their parents and forget their worries—at least for a little while—made every bit of effort worthwhile. I’m very grateful that I was able to spend my time in such a meaningful way.

Tamara: Blood Donation Campaign

Donating blood saves lives. Together with the Austrian Red Cross, I helped organize a blood donation campaign. We were able to use the premises at Gasthaus Stockinger as the venue; with its easy accessibility, barrier-free design, and smooth collaboration, it offered ideal conditions for hosting the event.

The event was very well received, and many people took advantage of the opportunity to donate blood for others who urgently need it: accident victims, cancer patients, people undergoing major surgery, or those with chronic illnesses. I was particularly pleased by the positive feedback from the participants and their great willingness to make a valuable contribution to the community by donating blood.

For me personally, the event was also something special: I donated blood for the first time. Through my conversations with the Red Cross staff, I became even more aware of how important blood donation is and that blood supplies are often in short supply. This experience showed me how valuable every single donation is and how easily one can save other people’s lives with relatively little effort.
