01
Arrival in Göreme

Your first hiking stage takes you through the charming alleyways of Göreme. Many of the old dwellings that have stood here for centuries have been tastefully converted into hotels and guesthouses in order to preserve their historical flair. With a view of the imposing Uchisar Castle, you cover a few kilometers on a rural path. The path then leads you down into the Zemi Valley and finally back to Göreme via Görkündere.

Today you start with a leisurely walk to the Göreme Open Air Museum, which is recognized by UNESCO as an outstanding World Heritage Site. Here you will see unique frescoes in ancient churches embedded in the rock formations. You will then hike through the picturesque Meskendir Valley and cross the impressive Red Gorge on the way to the enchanting Üzümlü Church. After a relaxing lunch break, you return to Göreme through the breathtaking Rose Valley.

You hike along a picturesque path through the Baglidere Valley, also known as the "Love Valley". It gets its name from the impressive fairy chimneys that catch your eye. Afterwards, you can visit the imposing Uchisar Castle and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view from the top. The trail leads you through the charming village of Uchisar down into the Pigeon Valley.

After a short transfer to Paşabağ, you can marvel at more unique fairy chimneys. You then reach the impressive Çavuşinburg, where you can visit the church of St. John the Baptist. An elevated path takes you to Boztepe Hill, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the picturesque Rose Valley and the surrounding valleys. During the descent to Göreme, you can visit the Church of the Cross.

Your hike starts near the picturesque tuff castle of Ortahisar and takes you along dirt tracks and paths through the impressive Gomeda Valley, which is known for its multi-storey pigeon lofts. Finally, you reach your cave hotel in Mustafapaşa and can end your day in this fascinating atmosphere.

After a delicious breakfast in the cave restaurant, you will be taken to Cemil. There you will begin your hike along a path to the ancient settlement of Golgoli, where the people of Mustafapaşa - also known as "Sinasos" - once celebrated important Christian festivals such as the birth of Mother Mary and Easter. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the abandoned cave dwellings and tunnels.
