The coastal town Pt. Sóller with its enchanting location on Majorca’s West coast is simply predestined for a hiking holiday full of highlights. Nestling in the Sóller-valley, surrounded by rugged peaks of the Tramuntana Mountain range, this region of Majorca offers a wide variety of hiking tours. Whether you proceed on pilgrim’s trails impressed by the change from the mountains into the colorful blooming Sóller, or on one of the coastal paths along the stunning coastline, through enchanting little villages featuring cozy cafés or the numerous olive groves with herds of sheep by the dozens, whose chime of their little bells is audible already from afar. With so much variety all stages have one thing in common: the unique views onto coastlines, mountains, flowers and gardens. After each daily tour the sprawling promenade of Pt. Sóller invites you to a stroll and a swim. The hiking week is rounded off with a stay in the spacious venerable finca-hotel Es Port, situated amidst an impressive park, where you will enjoy a charming atmosphere.

Itinerary at a glance

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Tramuntana Mountains, be enchanted by the stunning bays of Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra, and hike along the romantic post road from Deia to Sóller – a Mallorca experience that will stay with you forever.

Discover the marvelous promenade of Pt. Sóller during an initial stroll, dip your feet into the crystal-clear sea and enjoy a wonderfully refreshing orange sorbet. It could not be a more relaxing start to a hiking holiday.

By transfer into the Tramuntana mountain world. You start the route at the Cuber reservoir, one of Mallorca's most important impounding reservoirs featuring glistening water and an impressive view onto the Puig Major, Mallorca's highest mountain. Past fragrant rosemary bushes you ascend leisurely to the Pass de L'Ofre, where a grandiose view onto the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana awaits. You descend to Sóller along an ancient, terraced pilgrim's trail. Enjoy the marvelous views into the mountain world and onto the coastline of Sóller.

From the Mirador de ses Barques-viewpoint, where again a grandiose panorama onto the coast awaits, you proceed through picturesque farmland featuring countless olive groves to a finca, where you refresh yourself with a freshly squeezed orange juice. Invigorated you ascend to the Cami Costera, where you get rewarded with a fabulous view onto the wild-romantic coastline. This unique coastal path leads you initially to the Cala Tuent and onwards into the famous Bay of Sa Calobra. Boat trip along the coast to Pt. Sóller.

Transfer to the artists' village of Deia, the jewel of the west coast. Your hiking tour starts in the bay of Deia, along the rocky coast and up to the romantic post road to Sóller. The backdrop with its impressive coastal landscape will captivate you. A visit to an old oil mill, freshly squeezed orange juice and the path through countless olive groves round off a successful day.

For the daily hiking tours of 4 to up to 5 hours max. walking time, a good basic fitness level is required. You walk on well-maintained hiking paths, in parts surefootedness and a pair of good quality hiking boots are needed for the rocky sections. A hiking holiday with countless panoramic views onto the peaks of the Tramuntana mountain range, the coast, the sea and green vegetated valleys.

Arrival / Departure
