Do you have questions about this tour?

For those looking to indulge, the hiking region of Pinzgau is ideal. Do you want balance between a hiking experience and enjoyable relaxation? No problem! The mountain pastures, the craggy peaks and countless three-thousand-metre summits contrast with the tranquil, crystal-clear lake Zell and the rustic mountain sauna with its own swimming pond in the Schloss Kammer. A symphony to the senses and true to our special tour section: hiking with charm!

Breathtaking views are guaranteed – it’s in the tour name, panorama tour! Whether on the mountain trail in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, on the Schmittenhöhe or in the Schwalbenwand, the snow-capped peaks, colourful alpine meadows and the lake Zell the landscape will amaze. Pinzgauer delicacies also await you in the alpine huts. Whether you sample Kasnockn, Edelbrände or a hearty jause you will definitely enjoy it!

  • Take the gondola to the Schmittenhöhe: You exit the gondola at an altitude of 1,965 metres to experience an impressive panoramic view of many three-thousand-metre peaks.
  • Reach the summits: Both the Schwalbenwand and the Maishofner Hausberg are the jewel on the crown of the panoramic hike in Pinzgau. 1,280 metres above sea level and achieved in about five hours and open up the view of the Hohe Tauern and the Steinerne Meer.

After your arrival in Maishofen, also known as the ‘castle village’, you start your seven-day hiking tour. Over the following days you will hike through dreamlike mountain scenery with unforgettable views – on average 10 kilometres per day. The route leads over alpine trails and well-developed secondary forest roads. Day 4 and 5 require a bit more fitness – that’s when the Pinzgau Kasnockn taste better after a hike.

Charming nights: You will sleep in the Schloss Kammer. The renovated four-star hotel takes you back in time and leaves nothing to be desired.

On our ‘Hiking Tours with Charm’ you can enjoy the full service of our individual active holidays while staying in very special accommodation with that extra something in the best location. That means you can look forward to luxury furnishings and decor in the local style, as well as cuisine at the highest level. Sustainably on the go

Our contribution to climate protection

  • Active vacations are among the most environmentally friendly and healthiest ways to travel. Traveling on foot means moving in a climate-conscious way while conserving resources.

  • Our carefully selected accommodations, like us, are committed to lived sustainability. They are deeply rooted in their regions, work with local suppliers, provide attractive employment opportunities for local residents, and thereby strengthen local value creation.

  • With the Eurohike On Tour app, we offer a digital version of our travel documents, allowing you to navigate confidently while on the road. By moving to digital formats, we help conserve valuable natural resources.

  • Eurohike has been certified as a sustainable tour operator with the internationally recognized Travelife certification. To achieve this, more than 261 requirements were carefully met.

  • Even though hiking vacations (and cycling vacations with Eurobike) are among the most climate-friendly forms of travel, they still generate CO₂ emissions. These are carefully measured using the “Carmacal” calculator. Through our commitment to selected climate protection projects, we aim to give something back to the environment.
