Finally, it’s holiday time! Instead of heading south for a beach vacation in the summer heat, my husband, our two daughters (aged 7 and 9), and I spend a few unforgettable days in the idyllic Pinzgau region of Salzburg. Surrounded by lush alpine meadows, crystal clear lakes, and countless family friendly hiking trails, it is the perfect place to unwind and explore. Over the course of four days, we discover both the Glemmtal Valley and the mountains and landscapes around Zell am See. Our family days are filled with hiking, playing, exploring, and enjoying quality time together.
In this blog, I share the highlights of our family hiking trip through the Salzburger Pinzgau for families. Read on to discover our favourite experiences and find inspiration for your own adventure.
