Individual journey to Malta
Circular Walk Golden Bay
Transfer to the Golden Bay. Here you follow a spectacular coastline until the colourful houses of ‚Popeye Village’ appear in front of you. It was built as a film set in the 1980-ies and has now become a popular holiday destination for families. A plunge into the cool waters is a fitting finish for this day.
Circular Walk Valetta
The capital of Malta has a long and tumultuous history. Even though parts of the old centre were destroyed during World War II, the influences of various cultures on Malta are still clearly visible today. The old part of town is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and serves as a backdrop for today’s walking tour.
Circular Walk Marsaskala
You are taken to the South of the island and kick off your walk in the little coastal town of Marsaskala. You walk on narrow trails along a promontory and have the chance to vist the fort of Delimara. Afterwards the route takes you back into the hinterland with the Bay of Marsaxlokk as a final destination.
Circular Walk Comino
Ferry crossing over to the smallest island of the Maltese archipelago. Comino has only four permanent residents and is consequently a perfect sanctuary for migrating birds. Especially in spring and autumn a walking tour on this island is a true highlight! The route takes you to a watchtower of the Order of Malta. After the walk you take the ferry back and move into your accommodation on Gozo island.
Compared to Malta, Gozo is only sparsely populated and is considered a true oasis of tranquility. The landscape appears wild and rugged again, but especially in the months of spring Gozo’s valleys are ablaze with yellow blossoms. The route takes you from Xlendi to the well-known ‚Azure Window’, a spectacular stone arch protruding majestically from the deep blue sea.
The valley of Mielah is a popular starting point for walking tours on Gozo. From there you walk along the coast to the little village San Lawrenz.
Return journey to Malta and transfer to the airport.
Easy to moderate walking tours which require a good basic fitness leval. The route on Malta leads through rocky terrain and paths are in parts exposed and unsecured. Surefoodedness and a head of heights are hence a prerequisite.
