Medieval Alsace 2

Saverne Barr: Middle Vosges.

The chain of medieval fortresses unfolds further to the south and on your way along the Vosges you enjoy the unique panorama of Rhine basin and the Black Forest. After Hohwald, situated on an altitude of approx. 800 metres, you descend towards the wine-growing area. Picturesque vineyards line the route left and right. In the evening you get to enjoy traditional Alsatian cuisine in a ‚Winstub’ (wine bar) in the villages and little towns.
