Volcanoes of Auvergne

Green Heart of France.

The Auvergne region with its unique volcanic landscape invites you to a journey through time. The power of eighty closely strung together volcanoes is still very present even to this day. Be enchanted by scenery full of contrast, by dense untamed forests, ancient valleys formed by glaciers and placid mountain lakes. In the course of the week you will be fascinated by this extraordinary landscape. On top of all this you will also get to know the culinary side of the ‚heart’ of France. Finest produce from the fresh green meadows, forests and lakes combined with the French art of cooking will enthrall any gourmet. In addition, this region is well-known for its variety of cheeses: roughly a quarter of the French AOC-cheese originates from the Auvergne area.
