Katharina: Bavarian and Salzburg Alps
My favourite tour is the circular hike in the Bavarian and Salzburg Alps – you will be enchanted by the charm of the two Alpine landscapes. The journey begins at the emerald green Königssee, continues to the Berchtesgaden National Park, which you walk through bit by bit until you get to the beautiful Salzburg region. Another special feature is the overnight stay at the foot of the Hochkönig. Here you can relax and take a day off to enjoy the impressive mountain landscape. One of my very personal highlights is the hike to the Torrender Joch border crossing and on to the Jenner summit. From there you have a magnificent view of the Königssee and can quietly review the hiking trip.
Helena: Mallorca’s highlights
Enjoying diversity of Mallorca in just one week seems almost impossible. But on our hiking trip ‘Mallorca’s highlights’ you have the chance to admire all the hotspots of the Balearic island. Be it Orient, the village of the rising sun, surrounded by almond and olive groves, or the beautiful bay of Deia: all the stage locations are uniquely beautiful. My personal highlight of the tour is the mountain village Valldemossa which has typical Mallorca charm in the middle of the Serra de Tramuntana – simply fantastic!
My insider tip for you: At the end of the hiking trip, you can enjoy the landscape of Mallorca again with a ride on the vintage train ‘Red Lightning’ before your holiday comes to an end.
Lisa: Reschensee – Kalterer See
From the blossoming Vinschgau in the north to the South Tyrolean wine route in the south of South Tyrol – on the hiking trip ‘Reschensee – Lake Kaltern’ you can discover beautiful South Tyrol. No wonder this tour is one of my absolute favourites!
During the hike you travel along the historic paths of the ‘Via Claudia’, surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks of the Ortler massif and steep slopes full of vines. Numerous highlights await you, including the mysterious Reschensee with its sunken church tower, the enchanting spa town of Merano and, to crown it all, Lake Kaltern surrounded by vineyards.
My insider tip: Look back on your hiking trip at Lake Kaltern – relax with a fine wine from the region. Just lovely!
Stephanie: Vineyards and Vosges summits
Alsace sits where Germany and France meet. A tour that captivates with the charm of the region, the scenic highlights and a very special cuisine. The route leads through vineyards, along the rolling hills and forests of Eguisheim in a round trip through the historic places of Alsace, which enchant with their colourful facades decorated with flowers. My personal highlight are the three castles in Eguisheim, which offer a fantastic view of the surrounding villages, which are embedded into the Alsatian plain. With the difficulty level ‘walking’ our tour ‘Vineyards and Vosges Summits’ is perfect for hiking fans who want to experience the Franco-German atmosphere and beauty of the Alsace region.
Julia: Altmühl Valley Panorama Trail
My absolute favourite tour is certainly the hiking trip on the Altmühl Valley Panorama Trail. Not only because I was already there, but because of the varied landscape and the warm people I met. The cosy little stage locations also enchanted me.
The Altmühl Valley Panorama Trail runs along the glittering Altmühl. You hike along forest and meadow paths, accompanied by some sheep, through juniper heaths and past fascinating castles and palaces. I was particularly impressed by the bizarre rock formation of the ‘Twelve Apostles’: a unique natural monument, nestles in the middle of the juniper heaths.
